Join us for 'Bar at the Bandstand 2022'

….With lots of Sussex Gin, Fizz, Cider, Beer & Wine, plus delicious food, live music all day and a makers market - all held at our iconic bandstand, right by the River Ouse on Denton Island!

Sussex’s independent wine, beer and gin producers will be serving their own brewed beverages direct to the public, whilst you sit and listen to the wonderful live music on the bandstand. In addition, there will be plenty of delicious food, soft drinks, a maker’s marketplace -courtesy of The Makers Directory - and of course, plenty of space to dance!

This year our event is bigger and better than ever and has two wonderful long sessions.

Session 1: Join us for a family friendly afternoon session from 12pm - 4pm. With fabulous live music, children's activity tent, parent chill out area, food and more!

Tickets:

£4.00 per young person (4 years – 17 years)

£10 per adult (over 18)

Under 4s go free!

Session 2 - Strictly over 18's only! This session really steps up the pace as we enjoy the delights of more live bands, delicious drinks, and food against the backdrop of the river. From 5pm - 9pm.

Getting there

The bandstand is close to Newhaven Town Station, bus links and plenty of car parks!

We urge you to please travel by public transport if possible.

Buses - The bus station in the town centre is a 4 minute walk away, with regular 12, 12A & 12X buses between Brighton & Eastbourne, stopping at Newhaven during the daytime. Please visit www.buses.co.uk/ for more information.

Trains - Newhaven Town Station is a 7 minute walk from the bandstand. Please visit www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times.

Taxis – There are several taxi companies operating in the area. Please check out google for their details

Please note that this event will be security controlled.

Tickets must be shown on arrival.

All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder (aged 18 and over). This adult must remain on site throughout the whole day as the under 16-year-old’s guardian.

Under 18s are not permitted to bring or to purchase alcohol on site. A Challenge 21 policy will be in place for all alcohol sales on site. It is illegal for an over 18 to purchase alcohol on the behalf of under 18s.

Please ensure you purchase the correct ticket for session you wish to attend.

REFUNDS: Refunds will only be given in the event of a positive Covid-19 test 48 hours or less prior to the event.
