Many classical composers have used their musical roots (or the roots of others!) to inspire them – Britten, Poulenc, Rodrigo and Seiber are no exception. We are delighted to welcome Daniel Gray Bell (tenor) and Axel Krogness (guitar) for our 4th Chamber Music in Art recital, FOLK JOURNEY.
The programme will explore folk sonorities composers have used to illustrate the various landscapes of both neighbouring countries and their own homelands.
Accompanying our wonderful performers, Maria Josefina Baez (@autanaart), an internationally acclaimed Venezuelan artist currently residing in France, will be tailoring her art to the music you hear.
Set in the picturesque Lewes, Cliffe Hall's beautiful interior is the perfect setting for this innovative interactive approach to chamber music.
