Margaret Fingerhut, an internationally acclaimed pianist is playing a serious of concerts throughout the UK to help support refugees. The programme includes works by Chopin, Grieg, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov, as well as a newly commissioned piece by Kurdish Syrian composer Moutaz Arian. So many composers over the years have had to leave their homes because of war, political upheaval or fear of persecution, and this concert tells their stories through their music.
