Join Crispin Freeman, Treasurer of the Painting Restoration Project, for a talk about our innovative ground source heat pump heating system. As part of the extensive renovation of the Church, works were undertaken to the floor, roof and heating system to deliver a more stable and controlled environment for the paintings.

A ground source heat pump was installed to provide conservation heating to the building, to protect the artworks, and to have the capacity to provide comfort heating for services and events; it now powers the underfloor heating that helps to keep temperatures stable inside the Church.

This renewable energy source is enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint, even as we welcome more visitors to the site.
