A joint exhibition by artist Kelly Hall and photographer Carlotta Luke. Kelly will show her popular Modern Vintage artwork collections, plus new drawings and paintings. Carlotta will show brand new work: photographs hand-printed using traditional cyanotype processes. Original artwork, signed prints and artist books will be available to buy.

Kelly’s artwork is inspired by the nature, landscape and cultural heritage of the British Isles. Working out on location and in her studio, each original piece is created using pencil and gouache paint. Kelly’s artwork is available to buy online and from leading galleries and retailers including: Royal Pavilion Brighton, John Lewis and Liberty. Exhibiting for the first time in Artwave, she will launch new drawing and painting collections in celebration of the Sussex countryside.

Carlotta is well-known for her photographs documenting the renovations of historic buildings (Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, Southover Grange, Depot Cinema) as well as her environmental portraits that were part of last year’s Artwave Festival. This year, Carlotta’s sixth time exhibiting in Artwave, she will be showing hand-printed cyanotypes of her landscape photography and her Bonfire portraits. This traditional darkroom technique produces beautiful monochromatic prints in cyan blue, resulting in imagery that is mysterious, atmospheric and unique.
