To start 2020 Lewes History Group welcomes Stuart Billington, telling the history of St John sub Castro in the Pells. He will take you from its origins in Anglo-Saxon times; through the coming of the Normans; the trauma of the Reformation; the demolition of the ancient church; the erection of the Victorian edifice; and finally to its transformation into the 21st century church which we know today.

Doors open at 7pm for 7.30 start.
