Songs of Nature

About

The Railway Land Wildlife Trust presents 'Songs of Nature,' a concert featuring artists from diverse musical backgrounds performing music inspired by nature.
Heading the line-up is the Queen of British Folk, Shirley Collins, who will both sing and read from her recent works.
Joining the programme will be Blue Jambalaya, led by multi-instrumentalist Thomas Christen, an improvising fusion project weaving rhythmic, harmonic and melodic elements from beyond the Occident and Orient; Lucinda Houghton with lyrical songs celebrating nature from the classical repertoire and Iain Paxon staging a soundscape of field records with projections of local flora and fauna.
Danny Webb will play nature inspired records before, between and after acts.
