100 A4 mixed media artwork originals. Inaccurate and colourful versions of our eclectic Lewes architecture.
During lockdown, illustrator Leigh Hodgkinson used Streetview online to virtually walk around Lewes. She created one piece of artwork every day, for 100 days.
At a time when we weren’t allowed outside, it was both comforting and melancholic for Leigh to not only look at the independent shops, businesses, homes and places of community in the town- but also think about the incredible people behind them. This project soon became a colourful celebration of our vibrant and unique town.
As well as exhibiting the original artwork, there will be prints. cards, postcards, posters and tea towels featuring the artwork.
On specific days, Leigh will be in her Wickle “house portrait” booth- where she will be on hand to draw your house for you. (it has to be visible on Streetview for this).
