About
Nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park, The Jolly Sportsman pub and bed and breakfast is a hidden gem in picturesque East Chiltington, serving some of the best local food and wine in Sussex.
Our cooking philosophy is one of classical techniques married with local, seasonal produce, creating a constantly evolving menu that has a low carbon footprint. We have a daily delivery of fresh fish caught off the Sussex coast, and all our meat is sourced from local butchers and farms within a 20-mile radius. We bake our own bread daily, and our pastry chef also makes some wonderfully comforting desserts.
There is a stunning garden to dine in during the spring and summer, and cosy indoor dining with two roaring fires in the winter months.
