About

Home to the Gage family for over 500 years, FIrle Place is an elegant stately home with a Georgian facade and a Tudor past, nestled in the lee of South Downs.  It houses exemplary works of art including paintings by Van Dyck, Gainsborough and Reynolds, as well as an exquisite collection of Sevres porcelain and the famous Melbourne cabinets by Chippendale.

The Firle Place tea room with its charming terrace overlooking the parkland is open Sunday - Wednesday from 11.30am - 4.30pm and serves light lunch items, cream teas, cake and hot and cold drinks.  A ticket for the house is not required to visit the tea room; all are welcome.
