Step into the extraordinary this August Bank Holiday weekend as our much-loved Annual Surrealist Picnic returns to the enchanting sculpture garden at Farleys House & Gallery - the former home of Lee Miller.
Taking place on Sunday 30th August, this unforgettable summer celebration invites guests to immerse themselves in an afternoon of live music, performance, dance and extravagant costumes - all set within the beautiful grounds of Farleys. This is your exclusive first opportunity to secure tickets before public announcement. The Picnic sells out every year, and early booking is strongly recommended.
From the very first in 2017 to last summer's dazzling 2025 gathering, guests have embraced the spirit of Surrealism with remarkable enthusiasm! Previous years have featured vibrant jazz performances and eclectic programmers of dance and surprise happenings.

Leave the A22 by the BP garage at Golden Cross and travel just under a mile until you reach a T junction. Turn right here towards Horsham, Hailsham and Heathfield and you will find Farleys located on the right-hand side. There is a free car park at Farleys for visitors.
Farleys is not currently easily accessed by public transport. Buses to the area are very limited, particularly on Sundays.
East Sussex County Council is now running a Flexibus in the county which may be useful to those trying to reach Muddles Green on Thursdays and Fridays. Find out more here
There are regular trains to Lewes from London and towns and cities in Sussex.
