Celebrate the beautiful spring blossom with this botanical painting workshop.
Under the expert tuition of established artist Vicky Mappin, you'll learn the techniques of botanical painting in the inspiring surrounds of the Monk's House garden. The workshop is suitable for those both new to botanical painting and those who have experience.
We will use the beautiful blossoms and blooms of Monk's House garden to inspired your botanical painting. The painting workshop runs from 10am until 3pm with breaks for refreshment and lunch. Vicky will take you through traditional painting techniques and you will then spend the day painting your chosen blossom/bloom.

Monk's House is situated in Rodmell which is accessed via the C7, or the Piddinghoe road linked by Kingston road from Lewes, and Lewes road from Newhaven. Park in the National Trust car park at the bottom of The Street in Rodmell.
The 123 travels from Lewes station to Newhaven station stopping near The Abergavenny Arms in Rodmell. Visit compass-travel.co.uk for timetables. The nearest mainline rail station is Lewes, from there you can get a Southern Rail service to Southease station. You can then walk to Rodmell via the river (40 minutes) or through the Southease and along the public footpath (20-30mins).
