Democratisation in the third Decade of the 21st Century

Join Professor of Critical Theory and Modern European History Dr Darrow Schecter, from the University of Sussex, on Thursday 1st October, 7-9pm at the Hub to hear a talk on 'Democratisation in the third Decade of the Twenty-first Century'.  Darrow will speak for about 30-35 minutes, addressing a number of issues, with wide enough focus to sustain general interest and start a discussion.

Darrow has written books and articles on social and political thought, including Beyond Hegemony (2005); The History of the Left From Marx to the Present: Theoretical Perspectives (2007), and Critique of Instrumental Reason from Weber to Habermas (2010).  He teaches history and political theory at the University of Sussex.
