This summer, discover a remarkable chapter of Lee Miller's career, bringing together powerful photograph documenting Britain between 1940-44, from the devastation of the Blitz to the extraordinary women who shaped the war effort. Offering a special opportunity to see Lee's work within the wider context of her home, this display also included photographs that haven't been seen since they were first published in the 1940s.
Long before becoming renowned for her images from the frontlines of Europe, Lee captured a nation transformed by conflict. Working for British Vogue, she documented resilience, courage and everyday life during wartime with her unmistakable eye - combining documentary photography with the surrealist sensibility that makes her work so compelling today.

Leave the A22 by the BP garage at Golden Cross and travel just under a mile until you reach a T junction. Turn right here towards Horsham, Hailsham and Heathfield and you will find Farleys located on the right-hand side. There is a free car park at Farleys for visitors.
Farleys is not currently easily accessed by public transport. Buses to the area are very limited, particularly on Sundays.
East Sussex County Council is now running a Flexibus in the county which may be useful to those trying to reach Muddles Green on Thursdays and Fridays. Find out more here
There are regular trains to Lewes from London and towns and cities in Sussex.
