Lewes Greenpeace special event with Greenpeace Speaker and Historian Martin Porter, on the History of Greenpeace. This is attached to the Greenpeace International Exhibition in Lewes (1st August - 10th August 2025 ).
When: 3.15pm, doors open, Wednesday 6th August 2025, Talk and slideshow starts 3.30 pm. Doors closed 5.30pm.

Come along to this Special event with Greenpeace Network Speaker and Historian Martin Porter, on the History of Greenpeace. This event highlights the tumultuous and varied and almost miraculous history of Greenpeace and Greenpeace International in the last 50 years, and since it started in Canada, starting with campaigns against nuclear testing in Alaska, and against commercial whaling in the Pacific Ocean.
There is a short 6 minute Video of the Greenpeace office in Lewes in the early 80's and a talk and slideshow by Martin Porter. Questions from the audience welcome!
Numbers are strictly limited to 50 per event, which is free to attend. Age 12 years or over only.
