Lewes Saturday Folk Club Workshop No 327 - Mossy Christian and Megan Wisdom, Vocal Harmony Workshop
Megan (East Anglia) & Mossy (Lincolnshire) are young performers who sing and play traditional and newer music, blending freshness and vigour with a deep understanding of their roots. Mossy plays fiddle, Anglo concertina and one-row melodeon. Megan plays table harmonium. Mossy recently directed a brilliant and thoughtful production of Peter Bellamy's The Transports at Whitby Folk Week in which he and Megan sang lead roles, with top performers including John Kirkpatrick, Brian Peters and The Wilsons.
Megan & Mossy will teach from a repertoire of traditional songs a selection of material arranged in two-part harmony. The day will also include a discussion of arrangement techniques and styles. The workshop will be taught by ear with lyrics provided to take home.
