Folk musician Pete Coe

About

Pete is a brilliant singer and a wonderful melodeon, banjo, bouzouki and Appalachian dulcimer player and dancer.  As well as being an electrifying performer of traditional songs, he has a huge knowledge and understanding of their origins and history.  He's rightly been called a one-man folk industry.

Pete will give us two 45-minute sets and the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish. Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well.  We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.

On Sunday 15th. March Pete leads a workshop for any instrument on Dance Music From The Dales (10:45 - 16:15, £45, two under-25-year-olds £22).

We have a loyalty card. Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £6 or more. It's £12 tonight.

Access is by stairs with a handrail on each side. Assistance dogs only, please. Elephant & Castle, White Hill, Lewes BN7 2DJ.
