The Actress is a witty and touching backstage comedy about fame, family, and farewell. Set in a dressing room on the night of a star's final performance, it offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the emotional chaos of saying goodbye to the spotlight. The setting will reflect the glamour and pressure of theatre life, with fast-paced entrances and moments of deep reflection. At its heart, this is a celebration of performance—and the woman behind the performer.
This production will be a love letter to the stage, balancing comedy with poignancy as Lydia Martin takes her final bow.
Directed by Trish Richings, it features performances from Tricia Pape, Marilynne Sharpin, Roger Trace, Kirsty Turner, Roland Boorman, Sylvia Aston, Lucy Parkin, Peter Quinn and Dan Williams.
