This July the Sussex Guild will exhibit and demonstrate crafts at Michelham Priory for the 59th consecutive year. Founded by a small group of crafts people with the ethos: "to be a community of mutually supporting, individual crafts people," the Guild organised its first craft show at Michelham in the summer of 1968.
A wide range of contemporary crafts will be displayed in marquees on the lawns as well as in the Elizabethan barn, including ceramics, textiles, jewellery, leatherwork, stone carving, pewter, wood, glass, furniture and printmaking.
Some designers will be demonstrating their skills - jewellery making, woodturning, embroidery and quilting, together with several potters showing different techniques.
Extensive grounds and gardens to explore, free parking, a licensed café, areas for children's play and picnics, make an ideal day out.
