Folk trio - The Wilderness Yet

About

This new trio combines the acclaimed talents of folksinger Rosie Hodgson, traditional fiddler Rowan Piggott, and guitarist-flautist Philippe Barnes.  Independently, they have earned audiences' esteem as consummate musicians; together, they weave an eclectic tapestry of traditional and original songs and tunes; from a cappella three-part harmonies to luscious instrumental arrangements.

The Wilderness Yet will give us two 45-minute spots and the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.

Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play.  We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well.  We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.

We have a loyalty card.  Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £5 or more.  It's £15 cash tonight.  Email valmaigoodyear@aol.com to reserve tickets.

During the day from 10:45 - 16:45,  Rowan Piggott leads a workshop on Swedish fiddle music and Philippe Barnes leads a workshop on Irish flute music.  Places are £45 cash on the day (2 under 25-year-olds at £22). Email valmaigoodyear@aol.com for more details.
