Woodfire Camping, known for fabulous food cooked over fire and for coining the term 'gastro-camping', is hosting a series of Winter Feasts in a beautiful 400 year old barn on the Firle Estate.
These magical feasts feature a six-course menu cooked over flames. Inspired by a traditional British shooting lunch — but reimagined for today — this is a celebration of sustainable local game, wild venison and winter vegetables, cooked over woodfire against the backdrop of South Downs hills. Our Feasts will celebrate the season, countryside traditions and the craft of good hospitality.
Arrive in the crisp country air to the scent of woodsmoke, outdoor fires and a winter cocktail. Long tables set for communal feasting. Fires crackling. Glasses raised.
Local English sparkling wine, beers from Burning Sky Brewery, and a specially curated list of sustainable wines and warming winter cocktails will be available from the bar.
Guests are welcome to linger after the Feast for star-gazing and marshmallow-toasting around the outdoor fires.
