Lambing at the Farm

Middle Farm is a working family farm open all year round for fresh produce, cider and gifts. This Spring they will be hosting their annual lambing event where you can experience the birthing and bottle feeding of Spring Lambs. A great day out for the whole family to enjoy. Booking in advance is advised.

Monk's House

This year Monk's House celebrates 100 years since Virginia and Leonard Woolf moved into their 16 Century rural retreat in Rodmell. Discover their beautiful house and garden and look out for special events coming up to celebrate their centenary. This Easter they will be running an egg hunt where you are invited to discover their birds and bees nature trail to earn a tasty reward. Once the hunt is complete, you can relax with a picnic on the lawn and a game of bowls.

Pitch a Tent

It's been a long winter, so if you're tired of being cooped up indoors now's the time to dust down your camping gear. We have some beautiful countryside in the Lewes area and some wonderful, campsites that really make the most of the natural environment.

Time for Tea

Beanstalk Tea Garden is a hidden gem. Situated at the foot of the South Downs, at the heart of Firle Estate near Lewes, East Sussex. This unique venue offers the privacy and tranquillity of the English countryside and offers a homely atmosphere, traditional cream teas, home-made cakes and locally sourced food. Sit and relax and listen to the surrounding wildlife including the resident peacocks. If you’re visiting Firle or Firle Place, take the footpath leaving the southern end of the village turn east and after a mile, you’ll find yourself by the Beanstalk. You can also approach by car on the Old Coach Road off the A27.

Spring Crafts

Anne of Cleves Tudor house in central Lewes is holding a spring themed event. The whole family are invited to drop into the house for hands-on activities based around springtime. Embroider a flower, make a herb bag or take part in a spot of still life painting and drawing inspired by their garden.
